Blinds

We would like to have the blinds installed in the day or two after the closing. This means that the blind supplier selection must be made, the blind types and colors chosen, the windows measured, and the blinds ordered in enough time for them to arrive for installation.

We've been to three Blind stores, plus Lowes and have selected the style and colors. I've got rough measurements and have representative prices from one of the blind stores and Lowes. Next week I have an appointment with the Costco representative to get their prices. Then we'll decide and order the blinds.

Preparation for Move In

There are many things that will have to be done after we take possession of the home. Some must actually be done just before the closing (such as obtaining homeowners insurance). To help others learn from our preparations, and likely our mistakes, I'll try to note our planning steps. Some we have already done, and some we'll do in the next 6 - 8 weeks before we close.
